My Story / Artist DeclarationPainting has been a part of my life uninterruptedly since I was 6. In 2019, I decided to share my art publicly. Painting has always been a way for me to communicate, even without being clear about why I paint what I paint and how I create it. At the age of 35, I was given a diagnosis that came to be the answer to many questions. It is an immune syndrome that attacks the bone marrow, causing it to lose physical sensations throughout the body. My body goes into an anesthetized state, and I stop feeling temperatures, textures, strength, intensity, and movement.
When I paint, I don't feel anything. With the last crisis, I had to completely rethink my artistic process, as I understood that the syndrome, like art, was already a part of my life. As a result of this, I began to explore and study emotions from a mental and physical state, so my pieces represent two worlds. A world where emotions are THOUGHT OF (rational), and others where emotions are FELT (ideally). |
PORTFOLIO
Painting is an instrument capable of stimulating sight and other senses. It also makes human beings aware of their bodies and their movements, in and through space.
